How we make a difference
The idea for BLAAC came many years ago after noticing a separation in the arts community in Syracuse. Many black artists and artists of color were not treated fairly or given the same opportunities. This is not just limited to Syracuse. There are many spaces in the industry where people of color do not feel safe. So, we wanted to create a space where artists can feel free to be heard and create art like never before. Although BLAAC has done many theatre plays and short films, we also do a lot in the community. Being able to give back and help others is also a priority of the company. Some past projects include;
